Application Instructions

Please see below for the steps taken to ensure the sticker is applied in a way to prevent mismeasures. Total application time should be less than 10 minutes.

Before you begin, we highly recommend spray painting the fence of your miter saw white. This is not necessary, but will allow for better visibility of the sticker’s lines once applied to the fence. The sticker is clear and will show every mark on the fence.

Application Instructions: The Story

Step 1: Ensure the fence is locked into place.

Step 2: With the saw blade lowered, mark the fence with a vertical and horizontal line that is 4" away from the saw blade and 4" above the table. We recommend creating a 4" x 4" square out of the packaging envelope for accuracy and efficiency.

Step 3: Mark the edge of the fence with a horizontal line 4" above the table.

Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for the other fence.

Step 4: Cut the sticker in half using a utility knife.

Step 5: Remove the fence.

​

Step 6: Peel the sticker from the backing paper.

​

Step 7: Carefully apply the sticker to the fence using the marks made as guides, pressing firmly so that the sticker adheres to the full face of the fence. The sticker already has a vertical line at the 4” x 4” mark, which needs to be lined up with the mark you made on the fence.

Step 8: Fold the portion overhanging at the bottom upwards and slide the fence into place. Make sure to lock the fence afterwards.

Step 9: Apply the overhanging portion of the sticker to the bottom of the fence, pressing firmly so that the sticker adheres to the full face of the fence.


Step 10: Slice the sticker between the upper and lower fences with a utility knife. This will prevent the fence from being locked in place when trying to remove it in the future.

Step 11: Trim the excess sticker with a utility knife.

Repeat Steps 5-11 for the other fence.
